Malaysian food is a melting pot of various cultures – the Malay, the Chinese, the Indian, the Kadazan & the various Dayak cultures in Sarawak. And this fusion translates to various types of delicious, savory food.
Our practical class is extremely interactive & truly hands-on experience. The workstation was set up for each group & sometimes individual. All necessary ingredients & cooking utensils will be provided. Our students will cut their own vegetables & meat, pounded & sauteed their own paste, poached their own dessert from start until finish. As our students worked through cooking each dish, our trainers will ensure that the kitchen is kept clean & organized.
Here our students learn how to make Roti Canai with Dhal Sauce. Roti canai or roti prata is an Indian – influenced flatbread dish found in several countries in Southeast Asia, including in Malaysia. It is usually served with dal or other types of curry but can also be cooked in a range of sweet or savory variations made with a variety of ingredients such as sardines, meat, egg, banana or cheese.
